Re: Hunting For the Golden Goose (Systems)

I've been playing around with an extended card which has some trainer stats - I'm not 100% happy with all the data (Uk and IRE only) hence why it's not on the site proper yet - http://www.patternform.co.uk/cards/2019/jul/oiroverview_2019-07-01.php (Monday's ) Oh that looks wonderful.... I wonder if...

Re: There is no "magic system"

This a very simplistic approach Lee and a fast "Filter" Look at the cards and use the far right Ran To figures, use the Top 2 Figures for 6 months with no other filters except racing code Flat/Jumps. I personally look for clear selections that are a few points clear. Then go 18 months use ...

Re: There is no "magic system"

Very simplistic but is a great filter is ran to figure. 6 months only using code. Flat/Jumps. Note the higest rated horses. 2 Figures. Then next filter 18 Months Ground and Distance today. Again top 2 ratings. Look for horses that figure on both filters. Simple but effective. Look for big prices and...

15th January 14.30 Fairyhouse

After the success of earlier let us try and have a go at this good quality Fairyhouse race. We need to trim this field down. 1st filter 12 months. This unfortunately only removes 3 runners. We need to go further and slice this field up. 2nd filter 18 Months Soft to Heavy ground this brings us to a h...

14th Jan. Kempton 15.15 + Warwick

15.15 Kempton. First things first we need to to trim this field down. We will use Patternform speeds chasing for the last 12 Months we will remove Kruzhlilnin 35 Abricot De Loasis 39 Chill Factor 53. Turban 52 This leaves; Sandy Beach. No Duffer. Volney D T. Our Kaempfer. Silver Grove. Carloswayback...

13.15 Sandown

I have rated up the 13.15 Sandown. 1st rating is the raw unadjusted for weight Racing Post Rating the best rating for 2016/17 Ground and going uncalculated this is a benchmark ability rating. The 2nd rating to stay in line with RPR rating is 12 months best speed rating achieved on Patternform again ...

Re: Grand National (Martin)

Good answers and analysis. Once the dust settles a little, maybe we could use this thread to put up some early thoughts and selections. I know the Grand National is a lottery but we are all going to watch the race and if we could find the winner it would be great. We certainly have the expertise her...

Grand National (Martin)

Martin I am sorry if this is in the wrong section. I wondered when assessing this great race, how far back is it worth delving into the horse history. I normally set my parameter to 18 months on my day to day selections, and I feel everything that is required will be unearthed in this time. Obviousl...

Re: race selection Process

Eb, A very good read indeed. What ever you use to find your going . Stick with it through thick and thin. I use Time form. I like yourself am a pen a paper man. Also I use a mechanical stopwatch, Unbelievable I know but I like it. Also I swear by it. We have a good crowd on hear, and what Martin has...
