Irish race course configuration
Irish race course configuration
As the title suggests, could you possibly add the course configuration for Ireland?
Re: Irish race course configuration
Do you know what they are ?
Re: Irish race course configuration
I thought someone might knew what each one is, but I guess I could search for it and post a list.Meanwhile I have found a list of stiff tracks that could prove to be useful. I would also be nice to have this option, besides galloping and tight, on the config.

Re: Irish race course configuration
Isn't stiff the same as Uphill finish ?
Re: Irish race course configuration
Mostly yes, but they have a few that aren't described as 'Uphill Finish' like Hexham and Ascot and they are considered stiff courses

Re: Irish race course configuration
course configuration is only useful in races at 10f+ so jump racing is ideal for left or right tracks. below 10f unless a filter system can differentiate between straight distances on certain tracks it is pointless for 50% of flat races.
re- irish track info is easily available on timeform/free site and racing post, timeform again give a better description.
Sligo
Sligo is a sharp, undulating, right-handed track with a circuit of just over a mile. The run to the straight of just under two furlongs is slightly uphill but it is essentially a track that suits speed horses. There has been a change to how stall numbers are classified for right-handed courses in 2011, meaning now that stall one will be placed closest to the inside rail.
Sligo is like Chester in reverse.
I have all flat track descriptions in Ireland which i put together in less than an hour... I only specialise in horses rated 80+ over 6f-8f for obvious reasons, bends or not.
only 7 tracks in Ireland have a straight 5f
4 have 6f straights
1 has 7f str
1 has 8f str.
answers on a postcard, the 8f str should be obvious
