Saved Configs

Postby StuartReeve » Mon Jan 14, 2019 9:57 am

Hi.

I sometimes find something that works for a bit on a certain track but when looking at other meetings I am liable to forget the method that I used.

I'd love to see something that allowed you to save and recall certain systems that you create with all the selections.

Just an idea, I appreciate everything you do.

Stuart

PatternformPro That sounds like the answer to all our wish lists. And would sort out the donation / subscription issue forever. Keep us all updated on that one Martin.

Hi Martin...

Now that we're a subscription service, is there any chance we could get a saved config area...it would save a lot of time.

Appreciate your time.

At the moment I'm concentrating on the subscription software to make sure that subscriptions automatically update, rather than me having to do it all by hand. Once that's sorted (that will start going live 14 Oct) I can start thinking about what to do next.
One priority is to move updating cards to the server so we can get some real time updating going (non runners, runners prices, etc), this would also release my time from the administration associated with running and checking successful card generations, which would give me more development time.
But defining and saving configurations is up there near the top the list.
Over the next year the site should be transformed.
The "classic" patternform will still be there for those who want it, but new functionality will also be introduced, which should also include graphical visualisation of the race data.

Thanks for the update, really appreciate your time and effort involved in this. If there is anything I can do to help with anything then please don't hesitate to shout. I don't want anything for doing it, other than to help.

Slowly. My first task is to move some of the processing online, but I keep hitting problems, and I may well put that side of things on hold and try to make some progress on some if the to-do list instead.
