Using the Ran to
Using the Ran to
Hi new to pattern form. What exactly is the Ran to rating? Thanks
Re: Using the Ran to
It's a form rating. I.e. it's based on the weight carried and the distance beaten, as well as other things - i.e. weight for age, fillies allowance, distance of race
Re: Using the Ran to
I'm just wondering whether users find the RanTo figures more useful for Hurdles/Chases?
I'm trying to devise Laying systems based on the patternform ratings and I have a reasonable system using Speed figures for flat races, but find I am still muddling about with Hurdles/Chases.

Re: Using the Ran to
so you have 2 horses say 2mile 6 furlong chase and horses A ran to is 34 44 54 and horse B is 35 42 50 horse B would be your lay ? you would be wrong

say its a class 5 race horse A figures are 2 from class 4 races and a class 5 were as horse B figures are from 3 class 6 races

Is that not indirectly or directly factored into the RanTo rating?
