Apprenticed to J R Fanshawe, won the last at Yarmouth on only his second ever ride.
On his first ride he was on a runner who was backed in from 8-1 to 5-1 at Windsor in a big field apprentice race. His ride after a couple of strides ducked out to the left sharply but he kept control and didn't panic. He was also given a bump by another runner after a few furlongs. From there he held the horse together and looked to be going well at halfway, but once the race started in earnest the runner didn't quicken, and he possibly looked a tad ungainly when urging his mount in the latter stages of the race when he had no chance. - https://www.attheraces.com/atrplayer-popup/VOD/1095348 - drawn 15

No such problem on his second start in a field of 6 he settled in last place with one of the field setting off like a scolded cat over 7f. By halfway that runner had been closed down and Atzori was behind a wall of the remaining 4 runners. The two on the left were at this point being ridden and Atzori slowly switched out behind the other two and followed the one on the right of the line, switching right to join him on the outside. This time he look very tidy as he urged his mount past the other runner, and was thereafter a bit on the enthusiastic side hitting his mount once behind the saddle when already a length up which had the immediate effect of putting 3-4 lengths between himself and his pursuer eventually wining by 6 lengths, with a further 7l back to the third – the handicapper will not be pleased. He can be forgiven that rush of blood to the head on his first winner, and will have learned from his ride. - https://www.attheraces.com/atrplayer-popup/VOD/1101664

On this evidence he'll be an effective 10-7lb claimer, and it will be interesting to see if any outside trainers took note of his ride.
