There is no running style. I try to assign a pace code from the comments - but I do it with a program - so there may well be some errors

Hi Martin.
I'm finding the pace charts really useful and accurate.
One thing I can't figure though is the red bar to the right of the numbers.
To what does it refer?
Cheers.

Field size - the longer the bar the bigger the field :) - I really should update the docs!

Thanks for that Martin, you can't believe how many obscure possibilities I went through. Not one of them was correct- LOL. You have done a really good job with these charts though, and they are perfect when it comes to back to lay strategies. I don't pay much attention to the master rating as often when you hover a 3 rating can still be a prominent runner. When used with closer analysis of the rating and running report they highlight something that will fall in price through the first couple of furlongs really well, which is where the back to lay traders money is often made. I do admire your work. Thanks.

I haven't looked at the pace classification mappings for several years, it could do with an upgrade to make it more acurate

This is more a question about the speed figures. Is it possible to show the average speed figure for each race category, ie C5 - C4 - C3 - C2 - C1 etc?
It's easy enough to see which horse has the best rating for the current race but whether that figure is good or better for the class of the race.

No plans for that. You could use the class filter to see what the runners in today's race have achieved in today's grade.

4 is held up. 0 is midfield as you would expect.
Try some numbers yourself.
