Re: Poppy Fielding
She's riding Arcanada again back at Windsor - 5.40 today. - her twitter feed is - https://twitter.com/FieldingPoppy.
They must be encouraged at jockey school to open a twitter account to create a presence for themselves.
This will be her 4th ride on the horse. Twice she's been drawn in the outermost stall, firstly at Wolverhampton (out with the washing at 80/1 in a class 2), then last time when she was wide for most of the way but got up with the pace early (unable to get across) and his 2nd was even better the way the race was run. The race she won here, she was better drawn in 1 and pushed him along early to get a position, and ran on well.
She's obviously still very inexperienced and this show's itself in that she is forever looking behind her to make sure she doesn't cut anyone up as she moves across. This was the case at Windsor LTO where she stayed very wide rather than cutting across before the bend and joining the leader and eventual winner nearer the rails. The extra distance she travelled was the difference between being beaten just over a length and having a competitive finish.
Drawn better today and there looks to be several who could lead, so she should get a pace to chase - currently 3rd fav on BF, but joint bottom rated by timeform, so hopefully we should get a better price nearer the off. My main worry is that if things don't open up as they did on her last win she might be reluctant to go for a narrow gap for fear of being sanctions by the stewards.

Re: Poppy Fielding
This young lady wasn't able to add to her win total in a handful of rides, but she was placed in her last three rides.
Lets hope she has some more chances this year.
