2,000gns - James Garfield – 40 win, 6.8 place
It's an open renewal where there are 4 of them separated by a couple of points at the head of the market. The fav Masar was really impressive in the craven pulling clear like a good horse. He was the 4-1 favourite for the BC Juvenile Turf which was won by Kentucky Derby fav Mendelssohn when finding trouble. Third fav that day at 13-2 was James Garfield who also found trouble and finished a couple of lengths behind Masar that day. He returned with a win in the 7f Greenham at Newbury where he wasn't stopping. It's possible that being by Exceed and Excel he may not get the mile, but his Damsire is Daylami who may allow him to stretch his speed. Anyway at the prices I'm prepared to give it a go hoping for a place , and dreaming of a win.
