Chelm – 7.15 - Charles Manson - 33-1 EW with 1/5 first 4 bookies
Goes well at Chelmsford with three seconds and a win. Actually Finished 2nd in this last year when a 12-1 shot off a 96 rating (95 today), finding trouble and having to force his way when tightened up within final furlong. Next race was btn a head here in a 25k race (drawn wide – taken to rails behind), where he led close home, but was himself headed a few strides later on the line. He's been runner well enough this year, a 2nd at Chelmsford and winning at Ascot (dsq), and btn 3l in a big hcap at goodwood last time. His trainer isn't going so well, but neither was he last year on August when this fellow was 2nd (1 Sep). He no shoe-in, but 33-1 does seen worth the risk especially with Betfair and Betfred who are going 1/5 odds first 4.
The first and 4th from last year - Cenotaph and Vale Of Kent are both around the 9-2/5-1 mark

Betfred went 28-1 just before I posted, but betfair sportsbook are still 33-1 1/5 odds first 4 (until there are 11 runners - 14 at the moment)

Third beaten a short head and a nose. A nice profit on the place element, but so close......
