Slowly away and pushed along in rear early, 9th halfway, pushed along and not much room briefly 2f out, soon switched and headway to chase leaders, ridden into 3rd inside final furlong and kept on well into 2nd near finish, not trouble winner, lame (vet said gelding was lame post-race; stewards enquired into running and riding of gelding, jockey said he was instructed to sit in third or fourth and track his stablemate, jockey said gelding missed the kick and moved poorly before bustling him along, got stuck behind horses and did not have enough pace. trainer said he wasn't happy with the ride but after speaking to the jockey said he felt the gelding couldn't have finished any closer. having heard evidence, including betting patterns, the steward's did not complete their enquiry and referred it to the IHRB.) Hi Martin. Strange times aye?

14.10 Thurles. I have used the patternform formula I like, this is 3 months.. 13 months Ground + 1 position leaning towards the conditions. Trip 1 furlong either side. Class, so for Ireland I have used prize money, and this may have to be creative, and looking back longer than 13 months.

JETZ is the standard barer here in this race. I feel he is a fantastic win bet, and if you are not feeling confident on the win go for the 1,2 places 2pts/3pts. I certainly cannot see this horse being out the 1st 3 home.

Great ride from Robbie and won well.

14.40 Shantelle using the same formula above, this could be worth a chance @ big odds. 1/2pt win 2pts place, very open race I would lay this favourite to go broke @ the track.

15.10 Others higher rated for sure in this race, but the one who comes through all filtration is Cut The Mustard. 2pts win 8pts place.

15.40 Bridge Native well worth a go 2pts win 8pts place.

I will be slightly bolder and chance 1st and 2nd 6pts win 9pts 1st/2nd. Good luck. Stay away from strangers

I'm with you - Cut The Mustard - in the 3.10 (about to start) - low dobbing numbers in good value novice chases

Bad luck with Cut The Mustard - would have been 2nd at least and still had a chance of sorts. I traded back for a small profit . Went as low as 1.81 but I bowed out as 3.1 (10.0 price bet).

That really cheesed me off. I have had 4 fallers since cheltenham, which is gut wrenching as I am banking on the place, I could have also traded out on place @ 1.1 which I often do for double stake. Still on a positive the fallers I am having is because they are fast low jumpers, I think Mustard was a tired fall to be fair.. Grrrrr

A place for you Philip anyway.
I just did a simple moneyform card - 24months, chase, sort by DOB% - Well Joey - high DOB% and low recent DOBs, further filter by dist 2m2f-2m6f and Western Sea was near the top.

A few minutes ..... and lots of luck :)
