Newcastle - Monday

Newcastle cards are online - the jockey and trainer starts are being recalculated and the ones online are out of date, but will be replaced once the stats module has finished - should be done by 13:00 - assuming there are no problems!!

Ok I will update this as I go... Class.Grade.Going.+Extra Days since last run. set @80+ minimum... ANY STRONG DRIFTERS MUST BE AVOIDED.

13.00. Tricky race, Low grade that I would normally very likely swerve, however we need to celebrate uk racing returning so lets get in.
I am absolutely torn between Al Ozzdi and Curfewed. I will go for Curfewed as his price looks slightly better and I fancy him for a place. This is a tough call. Lets look on the morning I do not like strong drifters, so if either of these strongly drift, we must view this as a big negative. CURFEWED. danger Al Ozzdi.

13.35 This is an unsolvable puzzle, I would not spend to long on this race, as it really will tie you in knots. Having said all this I am drawn to one horse that pulls through all filters along with many others of course. The horse I am selecting is Geizy Teizy. This horse has lost its way, a break may just favour this horse, this horse is consistent and dropping 2lbs to 78 and a break could spark a decent run. GEIZY TEIZY.

14.10 Very little to work with here. Bonds Boy deserves to be favourite, but I will be happy to watch this race.

14.45 Same again very little to go on. I would take Magical Journey to be favourite and the horse to beat. Again I guess I am happy to watch this race as prices will likely be very tight.

15.20 Tathmeen. The big worry with this selection is the fact that this horse does not really run that well after a break. So may be bad value. Better value could lie with Brian the Snail. BRIAN THE SNAIL danger Tathmeen

15.55 I like Shoot To Kill I see Rock of Diamonds as a big danger. SHOOT TO KILL danger Rock Of Diamonds. I am worried with these low grade horses and the lack of a recent run.

16.30 Indian Sounds looks to have a solid chance and will bet this one Win/Place. Looks on paper that he could run his race in a highly competitive event, even with the forced break.

17.05 I cannot split Anythingtoday and Bo Samraan. I was drawn slightly more to Anythingtoday as he looks marginally better class, however to be honest this is subjective and marginal at best. Bo looks he will run his race after the layoff. I Guess I will really have to split my stake here.

17.40 Unfortunately I just cannot work this race, I will happily watch and see what others come up with.

18.15 I am in the position as the previous race.

I will not bet any drifters this will be my 1 rule. The best bets for me are GEIZY TEIZY & INDIAN SOUNDS.

Good luck all. Looking forward to more picks from people and see if we can have a wonderful return to racing.

Oddly enough and completely independent of you I actually share your picks for race 1 and 2. Probably the fact that they both have sound claims on A/W surface, weight and class and the bookies haven't quite picked that up yet. But that is the big unknown, how will many of these young horses transfer from turf to A/W.

Yes I agree the unknown? However I would always pick a horse to repeat what he/she has done before than wander into the unknown. That said there could be a All weather good one hidden. I must say I am looking forward to this, I am bloody working though. :x

Hi guys, my first toe-dip into Dobbing. Confused by the Moneyform cards for Newcastle. The form and DOB%s seem to be very different between the Overview cards and the Moneyform cards. The Moneyform cards look like they are stripped of much of the form? Why the difference please?

Sorry guys, figured it out myself, the individual cards are pre-filtered to 6 months.
