Going calibration
Going calibration
Forgive me if this is a stupid question but is yeilding softer than heavy or does it come between soft and heavy ground or perhaps even between good and soft going. The drop down menu for going offer both G - Yld and also Yld - Sft.

Yielding A going description peculiar to Ireland, which essentially equates to the British ‘good to soft’.
That said the Irish going is sometimes also given as GS.

I'm glad I asked that question now you learn something new everyday. So "Top of the ground horse's' best filtered by
Firm
G-F
Good
And cut in the ground horse's'filtered by
G-Yld
G-S
Yld-S
Soft
Hey
That leaves Hrd with I've never seen as an official going but clearly it would be top of the ground horses.
I believe Good is the best comparison to take when comparing all of the all weather courses to turf form and as such "Top of the ground horses will handle A/W better than "Cut in the ground horses. Do you agree?
