Acca for fun

It appears that some posters want to put selections up without any reasoning. This is the forum where they can be posted. "Selection only" post found elsewhere will be deleted

A 1st yesterday, but only at 4/9.

There are a few for today, let's see if we can improve on the week so far...

Hayd 3:20 Maybride
Newm 3:00 Juliet Capulet
Newm 4:45 Frontiersman
Dund 7:00 Darkolva

Two 1sts (one of which at a nice 9/1 :) ), one 2nd and one not placed (4th).

I have said before that these horses are expected to run at or near the front. Darkolva was in trap 11 and at the first corner was something like 7th, ending up coming 4th. I haven't paid attention to trap position (and consequently track layout) for these picks so far, but after seeing this today it may be something worth considering.

Saturday's selections:

Chest 2:30 Book of Dreams
Chest 4:50 Tamih
Newm 4:10 Altyn Orda

Another selection is shown, which is:
Gowr 5:10 Brelade
but again beware, as it is the last Irish race and also a beginners race. I'll be staying clear of this one.

The main selections yesterday came 1st, 2nd and not placed, but prices meant a loss overall.

Brelade managed a 2nd, probably to rub my nose in it.

Also for spite no doubt, the 'nearly' picks have just placed ten times on the trot, five of them winners; over all though, since starting, they roughly break even.

Sunday's choices:
Muss 2:00 Lynwood Gold
Muss 2:30 Seen the Lyte

As it is the first of the month, I'll have another quick round up.

My figures are:

Win +32 with 48% strike rate since start
Place +12.5 with 79% strike rate

No selections for Monday. :(

Results:

Sedge 3:35 Jack's Last Hope - 2nd - down to 1.17 in running
Tipp 4:25 Miss Eyecatcher - 1st @ 4/6
Kemp 6:10 Big Time Maybe - 1st @ 10/1 :)

Jack's Last Hope was beaten by 3/4 length in the end - would have been nearly a 100/1 treble @ BSP had that come in!

Only one selection for Wednesday, not such a good price considering the field size of 17 runners.

Naas 4:15 London Icon

Trap 9, but that shouldn't matter as there's about 4f before the corner.

Winner yesterday, 9/10 SP.

Two qualifiers today:

Ling 4:00 Dowaaleeb
Tram 5:20 Cornakill Rose

Cornakill Rose is in the last Irish race, a ladies' pro/am so be wary.

A winner @ 11/8, and as half expected the Irish race came up with nothing again.

One for today, but alongside an odds-on horse, and place prices are low also:

Chelm 9:15 Perfect Sense
