Hi All,
Will be rating various races in this thread.. hopefully will find some value.
All horses in all classes and race types are rated the same way using a 10 point / factor system.
This system has no interest in Trainers / Jockeys / Speed / Weight.
Generally speaking : More prestigious races attract higher rated horses.

Re: Back Again
26-6-18 : Brighton : 1415
Reasonable odds available in what is quite a dire Class 6 handicap :
My Standout : Krazy Paving : Currently 9/1 : Sets a better overall form standard than the two favourites - back from 4 week break
Likely Challenger : Strictly Carter : Good form standard - along with Krazy Paving generally well backed in recent races
Scored 3/10 : Harrison Stickle / Seaforth / Sovereign State
Scored 2/10 : Diamond Pursuit / Asheena / Nifty Niece / Born To Boogie
Gutter : Indus Valley : Last visited the podium in 2016

26-6-18 : Brighton : 1515 :
A difficult C4 to judge and without any stand out hopes (Reflected in SP's) :
Overall ratings on the low side for a C4 (versus my historical data) :
Scored 5/10 : Arzaak / Tawaafoq
Scored 4/10 : Global Academy
Scored 3/10 : Super Julius / Jack Taylor

26-6-18 : Beverley : 1530 :
Might as well do the corresponding C4 timewise at Beverley :
Again the overall ratings are on the low side for a C4 :
Scored 5/10 : Zlatan / Bollin Ted
Scored 4/10 : Detachment / Music Seeker / Maifalki / Pioneering
Scored 2/10 : Auxilliary / Jac Be Quick
Gutter : Ascot Week

Re: Back Again
29-6-18 : Yarmouth : 1610 :
A very poor C3 (quality & win value) which I doubt any trainer would want their horse to win
But somebody has to, and I will be backing Mazzini
Scored 5/10 : Mazzini
Scored 3/10 : Squats
Scored 2/10 : Ower Fly / Horsted Keynes
Scored 1/10 : Lady Freyja / Race Day

Re: Back Again
29-6-18 : Yarmouth : 1640 :
A strange 3yo C2 with almost the entire field having had a limited amount of runs and with a lot of those on the AW.
Low scoring as well (for comparison Main Event was my top scorer in the 3yo race on the 22nd at Ascot (1430) with 7/10)
Insurgence is a puzzle as all of its turf runs have been SP 25/1+ (with its form all coming from recent AW) so not really anything to convince me of the horses merits.
I will be taking Ode to Autumn with Barton Mills as a reverse FC.
Scored 4/10 : Ode to Autumn / Barton Mills
Scored 3/10 : Kassar / Protected Guest
Scored 2/10 : Insurgence

29-6-18 : Curragh : 1835
Generally a very even race with a lot of chances, but I think Casimiro will be too strong for the rest of them
Is two points clear of the next horse on my scoring sheet
