Martin Dwyer

Postby PuzzledLook » Sun Jul 14, 2019 10:25 am

After Martin Dwyer rode PYLEDRIVER to victory in the 5.50 at Salisbury yesterday (Saturday) at odds of 50-1 (130 on Betfair) I started to check on his recent performance during the past 6 months or so (200 rides in total) and found the following which I have broken down in 3 sections;

1) Counting all 200 rides he has 23 winners giving a profit of 68.5 points

2) Counting only 112 rides out of the 200 that have odds of 10+ he has 9 winners but with a profit of 84 points

3) Counting only 68 rides out of the 200 that have odds of 20+ he has 3 winners but with a profit of 43 points.
These 3 winners had odds of 50-1 (130 BF) 25-1 (113 BF) & 33-1 (85 BF) so with BF the profit would have been 263 points

He does ride a lot for Willie Muir who is his Father-in-Law and will again tomorrow (Monday) in the 7.00pm at Windsor on JAVELIN.In the last 5 rides he has ridden JAVELIN his record is 2 wins & 2 seconds.

I will be closely following his rides,especially when the odds are 20+ and at least for the short time post his rides and results.

My new jockey stats are available from the updated dobbing overview cards - trialling at the moment

he has good stats (as in returns) for Marcus Tregoning https://patternform.co.uk/cards/trainers/Marcus%20Tregoning.htm as well

That information is very impressive and going to be very useful Martin.

Just to put some further meat on the bone for Martin Dwyer he has also had 10 further places from the 200 rides that had odds in double figures.
These being;

14-1 x 2
16-1 x 1
20-1 x 4
25-1 x 1
40-1 x 1
50-1 x 1

There were also another 15 places with odds below 10-1

JAVELIN today at moment (nearly 10am) odds at Bookies of 14-1 with BetFair being 17.5 although I expect this to lengthen

JAVELIN unfortunately finished as one of the strongest horses - holding up 8 horses above her!!

9th out of 10 at odds of 16-1

Tomorrow (Tuesday) Martin Dwyer rides ARTIC NEL in the 7.40 at Nottingham and probably will be close to being favourite at 6-1

Remember Puzzle, that at these prices even making a profit will deliver loooooooooong loosing runs.

With only 23 winners from 200 rides, yes, of course, there will be L O N G periods between winners, but remember patience is a virtue!

I am also pretty sure there is no other present Jockey, over the last 200 ride record that is showing any profit ( I await to be proved wrong? )

ARTIC NEL has just finished 3rd of 15 runners @ 5-1, my wise move paid off by just placing a bet for a place on Betfair for some profit.

Martin Dwyer rides CENT FLYING in the 5.10 at Lingfield on Wednesday with early odds of 6-1. I had already placed an e/w double bet on this with Artic Nel, so hopefully CF will at least place.

CENT FLYING finished 6th of 9 @ 9-2

To Betfair SP the likes of - Tom Marquand, Hector Crouch, Joe Fanning, Liam Keniry and more.....
Goto - http://www.patternform.co.uk/cards/2019/jul/oiroverview_2019-07-17.php- and look at the jockey's 80day column.
The green ones made a profit at BFsp. Click on the jockey and the expanded stats give a month and year to date breakdown.
Put the mouse over the figures and a breakdown will appear
