Today in the 1.15 there are several who have good course chase form, but the one who takes the eye at a price is - SAVELLO - at 14.0. This is a Handicap, and this fellow usually contests graded races, he doesn't win them but runs well enough such that for the last 2 years his rating has fluctuated between 150 and 155, and has dobbed in 7 of his last 8 chases, three of those were at Cheltenham. He ran an awful race on his return at Cheltenham in November, although he did manage to DOB although he wasn't expected in the market having drifted from 20's to 50's, and he was giving weight away to better rated runners.
Looking at his DOBBING form after a break of 71 or more days reads: 203000009, the "203" being in NHF races and the 9 on it's last start.
In races with 42 or fewer days rest it reads: 79**0940*020400**333*.
He's a 10yo, but was in fine form last season when winning a grade 2 chase at Kelso and finishing 4th in the Grand Annual at the festival off a rating of 150, trading down to 3.25 from 36.0 having won the race in 2014.
He's blown the cobwebs away, loves this CD and has been dropped to below 150 for the first time since 2014, from 14.0 he must have a great chance of dobbing or even better.
