3.35 Don - The Last Samuri - 6.0
Must have an excellent chance of dobbing at the very least. His dobbing line in handicap chases is 8 from 8 and reads: 1**3**21 - and that includes winning this race last year from a 12 pound lower rating, as well as finishing second in last years Grand National. He is in fine form this year finishing third last time out at Aintree in the Bechers, beaten just over a length from a 2 pound lower mark. The winner that day - Vieux Lion Rouge 8-1F - has since won the Grand National Trial at Haydock from a 4 pound higher mark. The second, Highland Lodge had won the beechers in 2015 and was making it's seasonal debut and hasn't raced since. The 4th Ucello Conti, was unplaced in the Paddy Power, but was second in the Thyestes last time out behind Gold Cup 5th fav Champagne West. the 5th, One For Arthur went on to win the Grade 3 Warwick Classic chase next time out. This group of 5 finishing 13 length clear of the remainder.
