New Price Cards

Postby martinkil » Sat Jan 17, 2015 10:21 am

I have some price cards that a few users have been looking at, and it's time for a few more who can be bothered to look through the forum to have a go.

You can access the cards by manually changing the URL (web address) of the patterform card.
You insert a "z" into the URL just before the date part of the filename

SO for instance today the 12:20 at Haydock
http://www.patternform.co.uk/20150117haydock_1g.htm
http://www.patternform.co.uk/z20150117haydock_1g.htm

To get a user guide for the new cards go to http://www.patternform.co.uk/howto_pricemovement.htm

These cards are a bit process intensive to generate so they're not usually online until late evening or early morning - and because they're not part of the normal process I sometime simply forget to generate them!!!

Eventually I'll integrate them into the main patterform cards, but for not they're still in development

These look interesting Martin. How would you use these, and what are the benefits.

Two way I use them.

1 - (pre-race graph) I look to see if any runner has a history of being backed - it might help me decide whether to back it early or take the SP.

2 - (InPlay Graph) I look to see when during the race a runner usually dobs, and if it usually drifts out before dipping in price - and then I might put a back inplay at - say - 80% above BFsp and have a lay back ready in case that price gets matched

Brilliant. Thank you. All makes perfect sense. Could be a very good tool for taking an early price or not accepting the early odds.

Also for those who like to trade pre-race it could useful.

For instance in the next at exeter - Magheral Express - is usually backed - so backing it now at 4.2 - lets see if we can lay it back at 3.6

.....................
Went down to 3.8 before drifting back to 4.2

Thanks. It take a fair bit of processing to generate the price movement cards, so they're usually not available until later in the evening or in the morning of the races

Hi Martin, that's understandable with the amount of work you do overall.

These Price Cards have improved my Trading already, hopefully others try them and find them as useful, in order to make it worth your time.

I definalty recommend people studying them as they can be very useful in spotting patterns.

Cheers
Darren.

Darren - feel free to post the odd pattern .... not all of them, you need to keep something for yourself
